Our approach

We consider it a privilege to be part of people’s decision to change, and we understand the trust clients put in us. We strive to build the kind of relationship that helps people feel supported, and also challenged to take the risks necessary to grow. It is only through courage that we grow our confidence, and confidence-building is a key part of our work. Part therapist, part teacher, part coach: we are fortunate to love what we do.

If you choose to work with us, we will tailor our approach to your needs and goals, and we will also rely on our training and expertise. In sessions we use techniques designed to help you build a greater awareness of your world: understanding what you are feeling, what those feelings mean, and releasing the judgment you might place on them. Our style is collaborative, and it works through insights built in and between sessions.

Our philosophy of healing

Four broad tenets

  1. Courage

It is with courage that we face our fears, stretch towards growth, and build confidence and self-esteem.

  2. Choice

The greatest weapon against stress is our ability to choose one thought over another. ~ William James

  3. Momentum

Momentum takes hold when steps are so small that resistance is fooled.

  4. Joy

Vulnerability and empathy are the foundation of all relationships – they pave the way for intimacy and joy.
